During your stay in La Barbotière, you will quickly realize how the region is rich in opportunities to discover. Breakfast at La Barbotière
Served between 8:00 and 9:30, breakfast is often an opportunity to interact with our visitors to prepare the activities of the day.
We give priority to fresh products of the region when preparing breakfast:
Coffee, selection of English teas and chocolate,
Fresh orange juice,
Bread and croissant,
Farm yogurt,
Jams from local producers or home-made, honey from local producers,
Fruit salad or fruit basket,
Egg or local cheese.
Our breakfast is suitable for vegetarians. We can also prepare a vegan breakfast on request (please give us notice when making your booking and at least 24 hours in advance).
Lunch and dinner around Auxerre
We recommend our guests to book their table a few days in advance, specially over week-ends of during the summer holidays. Good restaurants are often fully booked.
For lunch or dinner, many great restaurants can be found around.
Within walking distance from La Barbotière, in the center of the village, L’Evidence proposes an excellent regional menu as well as pizzas, from Tuesday noon to Saturday evening. Pizzas are generally available for take-away at short notice (check availability by calling). In the village as well, La Table (Maison Lobies) has opened recently and proposes a very tempting cuisine.
Auxerre is less than 15 minutes away and many restaurants are available. Hardly further, other choices are available to you in Chablis, Toucy, or in the neighboring villages. Here is a selection of restaurants, all less than 30 minutes from La Barbotière.

The vineyards of Chablis and around Auxerre
One of the the most expressive vineyards of France is located just 20 minutes away from La Barbotière, through the Road of Chablis and Grand Auxerrois wines.
While Chablis remains the most attractive spot thanks to the worldwide reputation of its 'Grands Crus' and 'Premiers Crus', you may also discover a very large variety of grapes and appellations in the region:
The pinots noirs of Irancy and Côtes d'Auxerre,
